Santa is coming to Tabernacle again this year! His Big Blue sleigh will begin making the rounds on Wednesday evening at 6pm. Below is a street listing for each evening of Old Saint Nick's tour with the volunteers of Tabernacle Rescue Squad. Take note that his sleigh is a bit too large to cover our unpaved sections of town and his reindeer have a hard time turning themselves around on dead-end streets with no court. So if you find yourself on one of those streets, make your way to pavement or the corner of your street when you hear those sirens or see one of our lead ambulance reindeer! Also note that some streets in town are on both the eastern and western side of Rt. 206. Eastern portions of those streets will be visited on Thursday and western portions on Friday. The streets are listed in a general order of arrival, so the closer your street is to the top of that nights list, the sooner in the evening you'll be getting a visit from the Jolly fellow. Check in the coming days for a link to a GPS tracker Santa will keep with him on Rescue 4399 so you can track his progress each evening. We look forward to seeing you!

Monday evening at the Township Committee Meeting our Chief, George Jackson III, presented our response to the Report of the Public Safety Subcommittee. Both Mayor Lee and Deputy Mayor Yates indicated that they would be inviting the Chiefs and Presidents of the Rescue Squad and the Fire Company to the May township meeting to make presentations and take questions from the public.
We feel it is important for our community to have access to this information in order to be an active participant in such a critical community discussion. We have included both the response provided by Chief Jackson III Monday evening, and our response provided to the subcommittee upon their e-mailed request of us on 1/28/16. That request included: "Please provide any information regarding your idea on a future structure of emergency services and the township in writing by Sunday, January 30th. If you have a 5 year and 10 year long range plan for your respective organizations that would be helpful as well." We have also included the original email as well as the public safety report compiled by Mayor Lee and Deputy Mayor Yates for your review.
We thank you for your support Monday evening, and your continued support of our volunteers. We agreed whole heartedly with the assertion of the committee, that our volunteers are part of an exceptional agency and we look forward to being able to continue to provide our high level of patient centered Rescue and EMS to our residents.

According to the the CDC "Heart disease is the leading cause of death for both men and women, but heart disease is preventable and controllable". This month we would like the time to remind everyone of the importance of maintianing a healthy heart. We have provided some tips below from the CDC on how to help prevent heart disease.
As you begin your journey to better heart health, keep these things in mind:
Some health conditions and lifestyle factors can put people at a higher risk for developing heart disease. You can help prevent heart disease by making healthy choices and managing any medical conditions you may have.
As the year comes to a close, we would like to thank everyone for the continued support you have shown Tabernacle Rescue Squad, whether it be in the form of a donation, volunteering your time, or just a “thank you”, we truly appreciate you.
The Officers and Members of Tabernacle Rescue Squad wish you and yours a happy and safe New Year. We look forward to continuing to serve the Residents of Tabernacle Township in 2016.
